Tennessee Tech to hold free FAFSA help event Oct. 22

Tennessee Tech University’s Office of Financial Aid will hold a free event to help students with the FAFSA on Thursday, Oct. 22, on the university’s Cookeville campus, according to an Oct. 6 announcement from the university.

The annual Early Bird Tour will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Roaden University Center, 1000 N. Dixie Ave., Tennessee Tech said. The drop-in event is open to all students and family members.

According to the announcement, attendees can meet the Financial Aid team, complete the FAFSA, set up student accounts and ask university experts questions. Students can also apply for admission to Tennessee Tech at the event and learn about university scholarship opportunities; attendees will have opportunities to win Tech gear and other prizes, the university said.

The 2027-2028 FAFSA is now available, according to Tennessee Tech. Students can register for the Early Bird Tour through the university’s financial aid events page, and questions may be sent to the Office of Financial Aid at financialaid@tntech.edu, the announcement said.
