Tennessee Tech University will mark National Transfer Student Week Oct. 19–23 with expanded transfer scholarships and a waived application fee for domestic undergraduate transfer students, the university announced Wednesday. The scholarship changes begin with the spring 2027 semester, according to Tennessee Tech.
The university said new transfer students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher can receive $3,000 annually through its Flight to Tech Transfer Scholarship. Students with GPAs from 3.25 to 3.49 can qualify for $2,000 annually, while those with GPAs from 3.0 to 3.24 can qualify for $1,000 annually, the announcement said. The scholarships are guaranteed for three years, according to Tennessee Tech.
Students seeking admission for spring 2027 must apply by Dec. 15, 2026, to be eligible for the scholarships, the university said. Domestic undergraduate transfer students can apply during National Transfer Student Week without paying the application fee, a $25 savings, according to the announcement.
Tennessee Tech said its transfer team can work one-on-one with prospective students to answer questions, review transcripts and explain how prior coursework may apply to a degree program. Information about transferring is available at tntech.edu/transfer, and the university said prospective students can schedule a VIP campus visit at tntech.edu/visit.
