Tennessee State Parks will hold a public meeting Nov. 3 at Cummins Falls State Park in Cookeville to gather community input on the park’s proposed five-year strategic management plan, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation said in an Oct. 13 announcement.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Central time at the park visitor center, 390 Cummins Falls Road, Cookeville, according to the department. The announcement also lists nearby meetings at Pickett CCC Memorial State Park in Jamestown on Nov. 12, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Central time, at the Group Camp Dining Hall, 4605 Pickett Park Highway, and at Edgar Evins State Park in Silver Point on Nov. 16, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Central time, at the Interpretive Center, 3877 Edgar Evins State Park Road.
The department said the meetings will give community members a chance to learn about each park’s plan from staff and respond to the proposals. The plans focus on resource stewardship, visitor experience, facilities and amenities, and operational excellence, according to the announcement.
The department said site plans will be available on the Bureau of Conservation, Planning and Publication webpage or upon request. Oral comments will be accepted at the meetings, and written comments may be submitted through an online form through Dec. 31, 2026, the department said.
